Software architect’s development work promotes greater adoption of BMS standard
Las Vegas, NV - November 4, 2015 - PartsTrader® is pleased to announce that Scott Mason, Technical Product Manager for the PartsTrader platform, has been awarded the 2015 Outstanding Contribution Award by the Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) Board of Trustees. Mason accepted the award at the Collision Industry Awards presentation held in conjunction with the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) trade show in Las Vegas.
“Scott has proven himself a tireless and dedicated advocate of building a great product,” said Margaret Ho, PartsTrader’s Director of Product Management and Integration. “His recognition of the value of the BMS standard and his determination to fully implement it within the PartsTrader system has helped the organization and the industry make great strides in electronic parts procurement.”
Mason is the Technical Product Manager for PartsTrader Markets Limited. As the lead architect for integration solutions, he is involved in designing the overall solution, down to the details of crafting sample XML files that are critical for efficient testing, which enables partners to develop integrations as quickly as possible.
“As a passionate advocate of the BMS standard, I am humbled to be honored by CIECA with this award,” said Mason. “The BMS standard has allowed me and the development team to focus on creating an industry-changing parts procurement solution.”
As a result of Mason’s work, technology partners are using the CIECA BMS standard as the development work with the PartsTrader platform progresses. Mason has been a proponent of the more secure BMS standard that enables electronic commerce between collision repair shops and parts suppliers via integration partners.
PartsTrader was an early adopter of the BMS standard, requiring the messaging standard for all integrations with technology partners. Use of the standard is a requirement to participate in the PartsTrader’s Technology Partner Program and to use the platform’s APIs/Integration Guides.
