What is PartsTrader?

Supplier FAQs

How can PartsTrader help me?

Whether you are an OEM, aftermarket, remanufactured or recycled automotive parts supplier, PartsTrader can connect you with collision repairers looking for parts. PartsTrader is an efficient new way for you to communicate with repair shops that have relied on you for years, and can also give you exposure to shops who you haven't done business with, or have only turned to you for select items.

You will begin to see all of the parts required for a repair job, and may have the opportunity to grow your business by supplying parts that repairers wouldn’t have previously presented to you. Our aim is to deliver the best possible value to both repairers and suppliers.

How does PartsTrader work?

If you are a collision replacement parts supplier, you will see requests for quotes the moment you log in to PartsTrader. These requests will include all of the relevant information for parts required, organized by vehicle. The repairer may include photos for clarity or comments to help you understand what is required.

You can easily submit your quote and receive orders through the PartsTrader application. Everything is documented within the system, so you can streamline your order processing and accuracy—saving time, reducing errors and avoiding costly returns.

How do I join PartsTrader supplier network?

PartsTrader is open only to parts suppliers nominated by participating repairers in the continental United States. Encourage your repairer partners to nominate you as a "Preferred Supplier" in PartsTrader. When they do, you will be sent an invitation to begin your registration.

Once you have completed your registration, you will see quote requests and have the opportunity to respond to shops throughout your service area.

Is there a fee for suppliers to use PartsTrader?

Suppliers are charged a monthly subscription fee for access to the PartsTrader marketplace, and are subsequently charged a small transaction fee when successfully fulfilling an order.  The subscription fee schedule is tiered based on volume sold through the PartsTrader system, and a discounted fee schedule is available for those suppliers whose market performance qualifies them for our Premier Supplier program.  PartsTrader users may obtain more information by accessing our Pricing Bulletin.

(Note: Repair shops do not pay a subscription fee.)
